Figure Eight
work inspired by the human form
Wednesday, February 7th - Sunday, February 26th
reception: Saturday, February 10th, 4-8 pm
Initially there were eight artists in the show--hence the title--but we saw a few pieces that we couldn't resist, so now Figure Eight actually has nine artists. We had such great reaction to some of the figure drawings from last year's Mischief show, as well to the portraits in tiny, that we wanted to focus a show on figurative work. Participating artists include five of our most popular painters--Tae Park, Brandon Smith, Chris Leib, Scott Grabowski, and Brett Amory--as well as five artists who relatively new to the gallery--Michael Markowitz, Diane Feissel, Scott Pettersen, Melita Morales, and Tracy Taylor Grubbs. The work is lovely and covers a wide range, in terms of subject matter, style, size and price. (And if you don't see exactly what you want, a number of the artists also do commissions.)
