Two of our favorite painters are turning the gallery into a explosion of color.  This is a huge show of quintessential California scenes--surfers, golden hills, palm trees, freeways, vineyards--everything from the beach to the mountains, and the cities in between.  Both painters are known for their bold brushwork and saturated colors.  Kanna Aoki's pieces focus mostly on urban areas, and despite the presence of the occasional figure, often have a quiet stillness, reflected in her cooler palette.  Karen White's landscapes depict the rolling hills, tree-filled ravines and bright flowers of a California summer.  We hope you'll enjoy this beautiful celebration of both artistic talent and our golden state.
