Make Your Own Floorcloth
with Rab Terry

San Francisco artist (and STUDIO Gallery owner) Rab Terry has been making painted canvas floorcloths for nearly 20 years and has shown his work all over the country. (He’s even been featured on HGTV!) In this class he’ll cover the basic techniques for making your own floorcloth, including choosing the right materials, preparing the canvas, painting & decorating techniques, and finishing your piece so it’ll last for years. Rab will share some tricks of the trade and be available to help guide you through the process. Each participant will make a small floorcloth during the class, and all materials are included.

Vivena's felt accessories have been a hit in the gallery, and now you can learn how to make your own! The class will cover the steps for making both flat and molded felt flowers, which can be worn as everything from pins to hair pieces and necklaces. Topics include materials, basic felting, mixing colors, shaping and cutting, and how to finish your piece. Each participant will make several flowers during the class, and all materials are included.
